To Start

Red Mullet Salad £5.50

Lightly sautéed fillet of red mullet - a delicate flavoured

Mediterranean fish, served with tomato and garlic Provençal sauce and seasonal salad garnish.

 

Chicken Liver Pâté £5.75

A rich pâté of chicken livers, flavoured with cognac and

 spices, with toast and Waldorf salad of celeriac and thinly sliced Granny Smith apples.

 

Spicy Chicken Tandoori £5.85

Strips of chicken breast fillet, marinated in Indian spices

and yoghurt and served with a seasonal salad and tandoori

dressing.

 

Toasted Goat’s Cheese £5.25

A French bread crouton topped with toasted Brittany goat’s

 cheese and served on a salad with  finely  cut  crispy vegetable crudités.

 

Sweet Chilli Prawns & Garlic Mushrooms £6.55

Giant Tiger prawns, peeled and panfried with button mushrooms garlic butter and sweet chilli sauce.

 

Avocado and Quails Egg Salad £5.75

Sliced avocado with quails eggs and tips of fresh asparagus served with a mixed heart of lettuce salad dressed in a parmesan vinaigrette dressing.

 

 

Starters are served with a choice of freshly baked bread rolls

 

Main Courses


Breast of Duck £17.55

Roast breast of Gressingham duck, served with an oriental style fresh lime and  ginger sauce.

 

Sirloin Steak with Two Sauces £17.95

Tender sirloin of beef, cooked to your choice and served with a cream mushroom sauce, and a red wine jus.

 

Fillet of Beef with Foie Gras £20.95

A fillet steak of English beef, topped with goose liver and served with a green peppercorn and Cognac sauce.

 

Fillet of Venison  £19.95

Venison fillet, panfried with bacon lardons and served with a wild woodland mushroom, Guinness and port wine sauce.

 

Halibut and Smoked Salmon £17.45

Sautéed  fillet of halibut loin, accompanied by an olive oil, lemon and Entre deux Mers dressing with soft herbs and slivers of smoked salmon.

 

Medaillons of Pork £16.95

Sautéed Medaillons of pork fillet in breadcrumbs, served in an Italian style with a piquant sauce made of tomato, Marsala wine and Roquefort cheese.

                              

Main courses are served accompanied by selected fresh vegetables and potatoes.

 

Desserts  £6.50

Mont Blanc

A signature dessert: a peak of white chocolate ice cream served with profiteroles filled with fresh cream, and a warm, dark, rich chocolate sauce.

 

Sorbet ‘Menage a Trois’

Fresh, smooth and refreshing sorbets in three flavours -  kiwifruit, English strawberry and passion fruit.

 

Crème Caramel  

A classic individual chilled dessert, garnished with bananas in a rum and caramel sauce.

 

Fresh Fruit Salad

Fresh exotic fruit salad, served in a brandy snap basket with raspberry coulis and honeycomb ice cream.

 

Pineapple Soufflé 

A sweet and fresh flavoured soufflé, made with ripe juicy pineapple and fresh cream, accompanied by a lime and coconut sorbet.

 

Totally Chocolate!  

A decadent doubly chocolate dessert of dark Belgian chocolate and smooth white chocolate terrine, served with a Tia Maria and chocolate sauce.
